About Us
The Wolverton Garden Fair is a much-loved annual event held at the beautiful Wolverton Manor in Shorwell on the Isle of Wight. Now in its 26th year, the Garden Fair has grown into one of the Island’s premier community occasions, bringing together visitors, exhibitors, volunteers, and local organisations for a weekend of gardening inspiration, family activities, and spectacular displays of country life.

The fair was originally inspired by the Chelsea Flower Show with idea of creating an event with the unique character and community spirit of the Isle of Wight. Since its beginning, the fair has been generously hosted on the grounds of Wolverton Manor - the home of Jane Patterson and her family - whose support and hospitality make this weekend possible each year.

From the start, the Garden Fair has been a charity event at heart. All profits raised stay here on the Island to support local causes and charities. Over the years, the fair has helped fund over £100,000 of vital services that benefit Islanders right across our community.

While the fair has grown over the years, it has remained true to its original character. The emphasis is on local makers, handmade items, community groups, and Island activities, creating an event that feels friendly and personal rather than commercial. Visitors can expect to discover unique crafts, local produce, and displays that reflect the creativity and spirit of the Isle of Wight.

Organised entirely by volunteers and supported by local organisations, the Wolverton Garden Fair continues to be a celebration of community, generosity, and the enjoyment of spending time together in a beautiful setting.
